Future Plans
1. Building for Vocational Centre: There is an urgent need for a Vocational Centre to accommodate the Persons With Disability from the Day Centre and the target area. The number of students in the Day Centre has gone up so the space provided is insufficient. There is an urgent need for a building for the Vocational Training.
2. Accessibility: Ramps
will be constructed in 13 schools in collaboration with SSA.
3.Social Awareness programmes:
To enrol PWD’s in as many Committees as possible. Creating an awareness for
all stake holders on disability related issues for Medical doctors, College
lecturers, NGO’s, RTO and Bus Owner’s Association .
4. Economic Empowerment : Promoting Economic Empowerment programmes on livelihood, employment and creating awareness among PWD’s on the Poverty Alleviation programmes and ensuring that they access it.
5. Sheltered Play Area : For the children at the Day Centre to be used through out the year.
6. Nutrition Garden : To start a kitchen garden
7. Strengthen the capacities of Grass root workers: on prevention, causes of disability and early intervention of childhood diseases.
8. Legal Aid Cell : Constitute a Legal Aid Cell for Disabled people with the Bar Association
