It feels good to tell people that we have our own website and thanx for that... The presentation of this website is very satisfying, One thing what I noticed was that, in case we forget our password, we have no option to get a new password or change password. Otherwise everything is awesome.

Derapanda Dhruva Cariappa (Advocate), Virajpet Tuesday, August 01, 2006

A population of hardly 2 lakhs and we have produced the First Lady High Commissioner of the Country, the First C-in-C of the Indian Army (now it is only the President), more than one Hockey Captain of the Country, Squash players, Sword of Honours from the Indian Military Academy (2 out of the only 3 South Indians, the first South Indian after Independence), Technocrats like K C Chinnappa (70% of Kodavas in Mumbai owe their gratitude to this icon), PP Appachu-the man who is indirectly responsible for the cycle tyre cords which eventually gave the all terrain bicycles in India, his son PA Kalappa, probably the youngest Indian to have received a dedicated funding from NASA for research on Internal Combustion Engines (Rocket Engines). Request all kodavas who have achieved or have relatives who have achieved laurels to feed this website.

Excellent website which is very informative about people of Coorg. Wish there was more information on origin/roots of Coorgi people, since the origin still remains esoteric. Though, at some places it has mentioned about the connection with Alexander and Kurds, but, details still remain sketchy and hazy. I also happen to read about employing the services of a DNA testing agency by Lt Gen BC Nanda to find the actual origin of the Coorgis. May we know the latest on that.

The photographs shown in the image page, that of rajaseat and the omkareshwar temple looks very dull. Honestly speaking photography is very bad. I think Mr.Mithun Aiyanna from Manipal is right about the service being sluggish. But other wise the web site is amazing. Good work guys!
